In this movie you will see that there were two twin brothers in which one was Vikram Batra who had to join the army. When they grow up, Vikram falls in love with a girl and both think of getting married. When Vikram tells his girlfriend that he wants to join the Indian Army, his girlfriend gets nervous. The reason for this was that ever since India became independent, Pakistan and China had tried to infiltrate India. Whenever there was a war, thousands of soldiers were killed. Because of this his girlfrined used to worry about Vikram.
